The Open vSwitch team is pleased to announce the availability of Open vSwitch 0.90.7. This is likely the last release from our "citrix" branch, which has been focused on bug fixes.

The bug fixes were mostly related to RSPAN and OpenFlow compatibility. The only new feature was the ability to specify active timeouts for NetFlow.

Within the next week, we plan to replace the configuration file with a database backend and add support for GRE tunneling. Within the next few weeks, we hope to have the sFlow implementation supplied by InMon and the QoS rate-limiting feature added by HP Labs integrated, too. Unless any major bugs are found in the "citrix" branch, future releases will be based on a branch that has these capabilities added.

Shortly after those features are added, we plan to add the following:

	- OpenFlow 1.0 support
	- Local ACL configuration
	- Compatibility with VDE
	- Support for ERSPAN

If you have any questions about the project, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thanks!
